At Hopkins Carpet One, we sell well-made, sturdy carpets that are built to last a long time. There may be instances, however, when you experience small problems with your carpet -- whether you have a loose thread, indented carpet from heavy items, or another issue. We'd like to help you solve a few of these carpet problems.
Loose Thread
A loose carpet thread can take a large portion of your carpet apart if pulled on. If you have a loose thread, use a pair of scissors to cut it down to a length that's level with the rest of your carpet.
Indentation
When heavy items, such as couches, are moved from a location on your carpet, an indentation is usually left in the carpet. A good way to raise the depression in the carpet is by steaming the area with a steam iron. Just don't let the steam iron touch the carpet; it could damage the carpet fibers.
Carpet Burn
Replace a burned area of your carpet by cutting out the damaged spot. In its place, put an appropriately cut carpet section of the same size, and use double-sided carpet tape to secure the carpet in place.
